February 2014

IGR is proud to announce the launch of our live webinar series for colleagues and friends from both U-M and across the nation and world.

Says IGR Co-Associate Director Roger Fisher:

We are very excited to be able to reach out to all of our colleagues and friends in new ways. Offering webinars is one more way we can further our mission of social justice through education. We really look forward to this new avenue for sharing ideas, information, and actions with our respected colleagues.

IGR kicks off the series with a webinar from well-loved and well-respected IGR Research Director Dr. Patricia Gurin. Dr. Gurin will be presenting Engaging Diversity: Its Importance in the 21st Century. The presentation will be followed by an interactive discussion period with all participants.

The response to our pilot webinar has been overwhelmingly positive. We filled all webinar spots (including seats for a webinar viewing in the IGR office) within 24 hours! Due to the excellent response, we will soon be offering two additional sessions of this live meeting. Priority will be given to those already on our waitlist and then registration will be open to the general public.
