IGR's Dan Green Wins U-M NAACP Award for Outstanding Graduate Student

April 2015

IGR would like to extend a hearty congratulations to our Graduate Intern Dan Green, for his recent win of the Homer A. Neal Award for Outstanding Graduate Student at the 2015 Michigan Chapter - NAACP Image Awards. This awards ceremony, which was held on April 19 this year, recognized several U-M students for their achievements.

Dan Green is a first-year Master of Social Work student with a focus on Management of Human Services and Community Organization. He received his B.A. in Organizational Studies in May 2014. Currently, he works as the Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives for the Michigan Community Scholars Program (MCSP) and as a CommonGround Graduate Intern for IGR. Hailing from Detroit, he hopes to use his degree to help eradicate the racial and class divides that prevail in Southeastern Michigan.
