Alumni Spotlight: Brandon Colbert '07

Brandon Colbert graduated in 2007 and began his work with the Program on Intergroup Relations as a first year student through a dialogue class on socioeconomic status. He continued his involvement as a facilitator for dialogue classes on gender and SES as well as with the Youth Dialogues program in Metro Detroit. Brandon is currently commuting between Washington, D.C. and Michigan working on starting a new company called Awakening. We are honored that Brandon decided to devote so much of his time to IGR as an undergraduate and want our readers to know the incredible things that he has learned and is up to!

Want To Learn More About IGR's Alumni City Clubs?

Alumni often ask how they can continue their connection to IGR.  One way is to meet with other IGR alums in their area to create or join a “City Club” or regional collection of IGR alums.  These clubs meet independently and are supported by IGR for marketing and communication purposes.  We would love for you to reconnect with IGR and other alums near you!

IGR Alumni Committee Update (December 2014)

This month, IGR hosted a meeting with Alumni Committee members from around the country. Members joined in person at the IGR office, by phone, and by video chat.

Alumni were given updates on IGR's current happenings, such as the success of Giving Blueday and IGR's new IGR minor. The group spoke about the development of the IGR Alumni Community, including guidelines around logistics and membership.
