Dear IGR Community and Colleagues,

In celebration of the outstanding work in social justice done by the Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) alums around the globe, we are excited to announce the opening of nominations for the annual Outstanding IGR Alumni Award!

The Outstanding IGR Alumni Award honors an IGR alum who embodies and exemplifies the values and ethics of the Program on Intergroup Relations, contributing toward advancing positive intergroup relations and promoting social justice through their personal and professional lives in an effort to create a more just and inclusive society and world.

The recipient of the award will be provided round trip transportation and lodging in Ann Arbor to be honored at IGR’s April Graduation Celebration and Award Ceremony.

The candidate must be someone who is 5+ years out from graduation and meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • Participated in an IGR course

  • Participated in CommonGround as a facilitator or student staff member

  • Assisted in an IGR research project as a student

  • Worked as a Graduate Student Instructor or Intern of the Program on Intergroup Relations

The deadline for nominations is Monday, February 6, 2017. Please consider nominating one of your fellow IGR alums and sharing the nomination information widely in your networks to honor and recognize all of the great work being done by those in our IGR community.
