The Program Assistant supports the function of the Programming Team by keeping updated the Student Voice and Access databases, assisting in preparing for retreats, weekly meetings, workshops, and other events, and maintaining Common Ground materials. The program assistant also manages interview logistics during recruitment of new facilitators, attends monthly meetings, and assists other programming team members in daily operations.

Jack is a Senior studying Psychology with concentrations in English and Intergroup Relations Education. In addition to his co-curricular work with CommonGround, Jack is excited to facilitate an intergroup dialogue for credit next semester. Jack enjoys cooking and playing the cello, and can often be found watching HGTV or the Food Network. A proud Chicagoan, Jack is perpetually on the hunt for pizza of merit here in SE Michigan.

Request a Workshop

  • At this time, we are no longer taking workshop requests for the Fall 2017.
  • We will accept workshop requests for the Winter semester (workshops held between January- April 2018) beginning December 1st.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to working with you!

  • Requests must be submitted three (3) weeks prior to the intended workshop date.
  • The general purpose of these workshops is to create interactive spaces to engage in dialogue about social justice and social identity. If your organization is seeking mediation, the Office of Student Conflict Resolution (www.oscr.umich.edu) or Student Activities and Leadership's Student Organization Support can serve as resources
