IGR’s Working Paper Series seeks to connect scholarship in social justice and dialogue-based education programs. The papers emphasize leading research and practice innovations conducted by leaders in the field of intergroup dialogue. All papers in the Series are subject to rigorous peer review by IGR faculty and staff.
IGR is a social justice education program. We blend theory and experiential learning pedagogies to facilitate students’ learning about social group identity, social inequality, and intergroup relations. Our foci are on students’ cognitive development, skill enhancement and relationship-building and action-taking. The Program prepares students to live and work in a diverse world and educates them in making choices that advance equity, social justice and peace. IGR was founded in 1988 and is a continuing partnership between the Division of Student Life and The College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
