Join us in recognizing and celebrating University of Michigan students who graduated in fall 2023 or will graduate in winter or spring/summer 2024, and who are also receiving the:

  • certificate in dialogue for community change
  • Patricia Gurin Certificate of Merit in Intergroup Relations
  • liberatory education cord

Gurin Certificate

The Patricia Gurin Certificate of Merit in Intergroup Relations is awarded to graduating undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated academic mastery in intergroup relations.

Column 2

Liberatory education cord

The liberatory education cord is worn with graduation caps and gowns to honor undergraduate and graduate students who have made significant contributions to advance the mission of IGR and liberatory education.
