IGR Outstanding Alumnx Award

In celebration of the outstanding work in social justice done by The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) alumnx around the globe, we are excited to honor one exceptional alumnx each year with the Outstanding Alumnx Award!

The award honors an IGR alumnx who embodies and exemplifies the values and ethics of the program contributing toward advancing positive intergroup relations and promoting social justice through their personal and professional lives in an effort to create a more just and inclusive society and world.

The recipient of the award is provided round-trip transportation and lodging in Ann Arbor to be honored at, and deliver remarks to graduates at, IGR’s annual award ceremony and Graduation Celebration. 

The candidate must be someone who is 5+ years out from graduation and meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • Participated in an IGR course

  • Participated in CommonGround as a facilitator or student staff member

  • Assisted in an IGR research project as a student

  • Worked as a Graduate Student Instructor or Intern of The Program on Intergroup Relations
