Patrick Kazyak-Albaladejo Muñiz

Bio

Patrick Kazyak-Albaladejo Muñiz (they/them) is the associate director for strategic partnerships and dissemination at The Program on Intergroup Relations. In their role, Patrick provides leadership and guidance in the creation, implementation, and assessment of strategic relationships and partnerships to help U-M build capacity for dialogic education and advance the field of intergroup relations education nationally. They are also responsible for coordination of the National Intergroup Dialogue Institute as well as IGR’s consultation program.

Patrick received their Master of Science in urban planning with concentrations in international development and housing and community development from Columbia University in the City of New York and their Bachelor of Arts in sociology and Spanish from the University of Michigan. Throughout their career in international affairs, Patrick built and fostered multi-stakeholder collaboration and partnership between local governments, local community organizations, and international NGOs to co-create locally-defined, ambitious and innovative commitments that seek to make governments more inclusive, responsive and transparent. In their free time they enjoy baking with their partner, making Spotify playlists, and napping.
