IGR minor Alanna Schwartz awarded, keynotes QUEENS Dinner

The Program on Intergroup Relations is delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of Alanna Grace-Marie Schwartz (BA ’25), an IGR minor and facilitator who was recently recognized with an award and served as keynote speaker at the annual QUEENS Dinner in October

Alanna, a senior majoring in sociology, is a visual sociologist, artist, Blavin Scholar, and Transfer Student Ambassador and Mentor. She transferred to U-M from Henry Ford College, where she was active in the Black Male and QUEENS Focus Group. 

Her keynote, "Embracing Educational Exploration: Reflection, Refinement & Resilience," highlighted her journey, naming IGR and dialogue as motivating sources for her work. 

Alanna’s commitment to education, mentorship, and community engagement continues to inspire both within and beyond the IGR community.
