Curious about how honest conversation can bridge divides? This course explores Intergroup Dialogue and facilitation through a psychological lens, giving you theory, hands-on practice, and research-backed tools to transform intergroup conflict into connection. You’ll learn how identity, bias, power, and emotional dynamics shape conversations across difference, and you’ll develop knowledge and skills to create safe, inclusive spaces for productive exchange. Through a review of various relevant theories, experiential exercises, case studies, and reflective assignments, you’ll practice active listening, conflict re-framing, and group design strategies from a psychological perspective that are effective in classrooms, communities, and organizations. This course is ideal for students in psychology, sociology, education, social justice, and anyone who wants practical skills for leading difficult conversations and building stronger, more equitable relationships across difference.
