Nitesh Singh is an experienced social worker, educator and program administrator. Across his 15-year career at the University of Michigan, Singh has managed academic programs, stewarded university-community partnerships and served on the board of directors of national non-profit organizations. Singh has also worked as a clinical therapist in private practice, specializing in college student mental health.
As an LEO II Lecturer with the School of Social Work, Singh’s courses center on experiential learning pedagogy and thus are highly interactive, skills-based and community-engaged, when appropriate. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on various topics, including participatory policy-making, intergroup dialogue, and the social impact of AI. He previously served as field faculty at the School of Social Work, and is currently a student in the Master of Public Affairs program at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
Singh holds a Bachelor of Arts in social anthropology and psychology, as well as a Master of Social Work, both from U-M.
